Formed in Kilmarnock in 1995 by Simon Neil (vocals/guitar) and the Johnston brothers James (bass) and Ben (drums), Biffy Clyro have evolved to become a band who can top album charts, headline festivals and fill arenas. A consistently hectic touring schedule helped to propel the band from unknowns to a cult band with a devoted following, headlining Sonisphere, Reading Festival, Isle of Wight and earning a BRIT Award nomination for Best British Band all in 2013. ‘Opposites’, a twenty-track double-album debuted at #1 and received Best Album at the Kerrang! and Q Awards. The band were subsequently named Best British Band at the NME Awards. 2016 saw the release of their latest studio album ‘Ellipsis’ which shot to #1 on the UK album charts.
